
This homemade maple syrup uses a brown sugar replacement sweetener for a zero sugar and low-calorie alternative. It’s great for pancakes, waffles, or drizzling over desserts!

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar replacement sweetener (or allulose)
- 1 tbs maple extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp butter extract (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp xantham gum
Instructions
Step 1: Heat Water & Sweetener
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and sweetener.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low.
Step 2: Add Flavor & Xanthan Gum
- Add in maple extract, butter extract, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk ingredients together until well combined.
- Sprinkle the xanthan gum a little at a time to the saucepan and whisk everything together for a couple of minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside to cool.
Step 3: Cool and Store
- Allow the syrup to cool before transferring to a clean glass jar or bottle.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Reheat gently if the syrup becomes too thick.
