- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup vegan butter or coconut oil (melted)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or similar-sized baking dish with a little vegan butter or coconut oil.
Step 2: Prepare the Apple Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sweetener of choice, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
- Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Step 3: Make the Crisp Topping
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour, oats, sweetener, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
